I just started this whole "hub" thing. I actually really like it. My question is, I put up 4 different hubs and I see the ads on my hubs but are those ads connected to my adsense account if I set it up in my account here?
If you have an adsense code and you added on the my account, affiliate settings page, then yes.
Unfortunately, your style will not earn you much from Adsense. Short blog-type posts don't earn much.
what do you mean? Can you explain? Short-type posts?
Welcome to HubPages!
If you have an adsense publisher's ID and have entered it into your affiliate section, in the appropriate place, then you will earn on 60% of all impressions and clicks. HubPages earns from their 40% from impressions and clicks also.
What UW was referencing is that "blog" type posts on hubs are not useful and actually are no benefit to the writer or the community.
The best hubs average over 400 words. Some people would say that 1000+ words is even better. However, you are also missing a lot of information, such as seo techniques like keywords usage.
A "Hub" is not a "Blog" and should not be treated like one. A Hub Page should be just like an article you read in a magazine. Nice and long, so as to pull your reader into what you are saying.
The only time you don't write massively long hubs is when you are either writing sales hubs or poems/poetry. However, I do have a couple of really long poems, but that's an exception to the case.
I hope that helped.

If any content of the hub is being copied by someone and used elsewhere, its not the fault of hubber. This is nice that HP is motivating hubbers to file DMCA to the concerned site and take appropriate action, who is going to waste time to fight with the copyright violators. HP has witnessed...

I wrote this one hub about 500 words or so that was a (useful/informative) one, but I did not think it would hit success like this. I now think I have figured out how to get hubs getting this much (maybe) BUT I will not be able to write more hubs like these until they exist so to speak.. (I...
