I would like to insert links in my hub that will take the reader to additional info/images. Let me be specific. Suppose I refer to painting X. I would like to make X a link to an image of X. Is this doable?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
You can have 2 links pointing outside of HP. Otherwise they'll take your article down til you fix it & that gets confusing (it happened to me).
Unless I am not understanding your question, I think your answer is yes. When you are writing inside the 'capsule' you need to highlight the word that you want to be a link then look up for the chain symbol. Using that you can link to articles and I'd guess pics too if you have a URL.
Someone else may come along and answer too. Hopefully that's help for now though. Just remember the 2 link max. Very important. Take care.
You can link to any URL in your hubs and on your profile page.
In editing mode:
- Type the text as you want it to appear, then highlight that;
- Click on the linking icon (chain symbol);
- Type or paste the URL that you want to link to into the box that appears;
- Click save.
As an alternative, you can use a link capsule in your hubs.

I've seen some hubs with affiliate links on them... such as from Commission Junction. Is there a HubPages policy on using these types of links?

I would love to know how to use text links through the Amazon Affiliates program rather than just the capsules in our Hubs. How do you do that?

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub...
