yes i did save it. Are these links only allowed to other hub pages and not outside websites, namely my own website? I thought you were allowed 2 links to outside domain names? Im confused.
        Thanks

      Welcome to HubPages! smile

First off, are you still looking at in "edit" mode? If so, there would be a good reason why the link doesn't appear to be working.

Secondly, if you're not in edit mode and your link is still not working, then I would say that it was not entered properly.

You seem to be trying to anchor the text, to a link and the way you described it, then it should have worked, if you saved it.

If you are still looking at the text capsule inside the "edit" mode, the link will only change color to blue and be underlined.

When you close that text capsule and leave "Edit" mode of the hub, then the link should be active.

I hope that answered your question. wink

I doubt that. The OP has no published hubs. I think he has to publish it first (or maybe use the preview).

It seems that the hub has not been published yet. The links may work in preview mode when editing. Other than that, they will only work once the hub has been published.

So I have to publish the hub before my links will work? How do I know if they are working correctly?

While editing, you can click on "Preview" at the top of the editor screen. While in preview mode, you can right-click on the link, then choose open in a new tab or in a new window.

If you publish, you simply open the hub by clicking on its link in the control panel. That will open the published hub. You can then click the hyperlinks in the hub like you would any published web page.

I'd have to disagree. I occasionally test links while in edit mode by doing the following:

-Place link in text capsule or link box.
          -Save changes in text box.
          -Right click link.
-Click 'open link in new window' on the options menu.

Good to know. That is the easiest method, although there is nothing wrong with the other methods suggested either.

Very true. However, being the lazy person I am, I like to take the quickest and simplest way I can find. lol
