I have to read everyday the comments in my hubs. People are posting writing services, essays, etc. How can we protect from that?
When you approve comments you have the option of flagging them as spam. Or, if you don't need to approve them, go to the comment and it should give you that option if you are signed in.
I guess there is an option to deny a comment . You can also remove the comment capsule though it is better to always include a comment capsule.
If a person leaves a comment on your hub that has a link to a website, instead of approve or delete you will sometimes see a spam or not spam button, click on one of those then it will ask you if you want to approve or delete.
When someone leaves a comment, you have a choice to "Approve" or "Deny," if you choose deny, then you will be given additional choices of "Mark as Spam" or "Delete Forever." If you want to report it, click on Spam, if you want to ignore it, click on Delete Forever.

What Would Happen if you didn't Approve a comment?Under new comments there is 2 buttons... APPROVE and SPAMBut what happens if you press neither? If nothing, then is the approve button really neccasary? or should it just be a default until you hit Spam?

Do you approve comments from guest users that only leave links?A guest user commented on one of my hubs leaving a link to a book about the same subject. They don't actually say anything they just give the link to the book. Since there is no actual comment in the comment would you approve it or...

Every time I write a Hub, I have to go into the comment module and checkmark "Must approve all comments". I would suggest that Hubpages make this checkmarked and enabled by default. I feel that it is important for all authors to moderate comments in order to prevent spam...
