I have a hubpage that I need to put a affiliates link on so that visitors will be able to go directly to the site where this offer can be purchased from. I am not sure how to go about doing this yet. Can someone please help by telling me what I have to do.
Thank You for your help.
If you have the link, then you could do any of the following:
1. Use the Link module
2. Type it into the source url for a photo
3. Highlight the text that you want to use for a link, then click on the link icon on the Text module, paste your link into the top field. Save it.
You should now have a link with your affiliate url.
Tritrain thank you ,
I have written down your instructions and will try adding a affiliate link to my page. This is very new to me and boy I am excited to watch everything as it comes to life.
@SBollinger
As i've written a hub about this, placing affiliate links for any one DOMAIN is a two link MAX in any one hub you may be writing or trying to promote a product in. Great example clickbank products, only two outbound links to the site your promoting will be allowed. Anything more than two will be considered commercial and not be able to be published.
Hope this helps,
-DD
THANK YOU DEad Dolls,
I will read your hub for sure as I need to know how to place links and get backlinks for my products I want to promote So again thanks for the help. .
Oh that is cool: I thought NO affiliate links were allowed! Wow, thanks for the post!
Charlotte
but remember more than 2 link to the same domain, or many links from separate hubs to a same domain is a violation of HP TOS
I am learning so much here. I didn't know there was two different types of links we need to use. One using this < > while the other uses this [ ] both being used to link your site to another. But which goes where is the big question? This is something I must learn.
Oh! Thanks everybody.
I also did not know that it is possible to add affiliate links. I have never done any affiliate selling. Will try. Thanks again.
Yes you can place affiliate links as long as the offer isn't malicious or illegal in anyway. Its best to stick with legitimate affiliate programs.
You can..but you have to be careful. Plus, only text links are allowed...no banner ads.

I've seen some hubs with affiliate links on them... such as from Commission Junction. Is there a HubPages policy on using these types of links?

In light of the latest Hubpages blog post, can I safely assume that any non-sales hubs would benefit from the removal of Amazon capsules altogether? These are capsules which likely earn me next to nothing for 10 months of the year. Also, how does Google determine what an affiliate link is? What...

Hey all,I posted this query in an older thread of mine with no joy. In retrospect, I probably should have posted the question independently:

I like to add in-text links when I'm talking about certain products as I not only think they are some of the most effective, but also some of the most helpful. What I don't understand is why there is a limit of 2 in-text amazon links whereas we can make a slew of Amazon links using the Amazon...
