I'm new here and I'm wondering if banners and affiliate links are allowed in hubpages. Can't seem to find the TOC for creating Hubs
You can't add banners to hubs because you can't add the html.
The only affiliate links allowed are from Amazon and Ebay. You may only use product links in the capsules provided.
To be very clear - anywhere you can put text, you can put an affiliate link. Anywhere you can put a link capsule, you can use affiliate links.
Here's the part of the FAQ that deals with promotional stuff.
Thank you for this clarification and the FAQ-link gamergirl; just what I have been looking for.
Just started using Hubpages and was wondering the same thing. Thanks very much for clearing this up and the source.
An affiliate link is allowed, but the writing must be your own. If it trips the duplicate filter you'll get flagged.
But if that's all you want to do, then HubPages is not for you.
you can add affiliate links and you can upload the image that would appear in the banner...you just cant make a clickable image...you can make it pretty close though
you just cant insert the html code
I have never seen an affiliate link on hubpages (apart from ebay and Amazon). Could someone point to me to an example of one? I would like to see how to handle it without violating TOS. Thx.
Something like this is acceptable http://hubpages.com/hub/beat-speeding-fines
Thx Misha. So it seems there is a link to a web page and on the web page there is the affiliate link. Nothing too direct. You cant put the clickbank link (or whatever) directly on your hub. Is this correct?
Yes , as already explained by gamegirl. You can directly put any affiliate link in your hub..better you own way...
But always keep the following in mind
else be ready for getting the hub flagged
Hope that helps
I'm pretty new here but it from what I've read Hubpages TOC limits us to just TWO affiliate links per hub to any one domain.
So you can only put two links to clickbank for example, even if you use tinyurl or other way of cloaking. I haven't tried it yet but I think it should be ok to use another couple of affiliate links on the same hub, as long as they don't also point to clickbank.
Am I right?

Amazon Associates has two disclaimer requirements for listing affiliate links. One disclaimer has to be listed somewhere on your account for the public to see. Another has to be listed not far out of range from each link. The second type of disclaimer I refer to should say something like, "I...

I've seen some hubs with affiliate links on them... such as from Commission Junction. Is there a HubPages policy on using these types of links?

I like to add in-text links when I'm talking about certain products as I not only think they are some of the most effective, but also some of the most helpful. What I don't understand is why there is a limit of 2 in-text amazon links whereas we can make a slew of Amazon links using the Amazon...

Is it OK to put affiliate links on HubPages? If this allowed are there restrictions on the topics promoted. E.g. Advice on break ups with girlfriends and boyfriends. I recently had one of my lenses on Squidoo banned because it addressed this topic. There was no porn or unsavoury...

"John Mueller said that external links, links on your web site that point to outside web sites (or outbound links) are not a ranking signal. Just to be clear, links are a ranking factor - but you linking out to other sites doesn't help you rank better. He said the content you use for the link...

Since I don't have an affiliate to Amazon or adsense why does the violation list that I have too many of these? What is the difference between the two?I thought that you could have one amazon link per 50 words. Some of my pages have over 1,000 words and only 4 amazon links, and it's...
