Now that I've got a few hubs going, I want to try to get referrals and also working on learning backlinks.
I'm having trouble finding where I saw how to send out a "check out Hubpages" on Facebook that will allow me to get the credit if they join.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?
Click My Account and then Url trackers.
You can use the default tracker (click it to see the link) or create one just for this. Paste that to FB along with whatever else you want to say.
Darkside has written some really easy to understand hubs on trackers:
I personally use a 'landing page', a hub I've written the gives basic information on the site and how it works, and has about three "join here" links, with trackers in each of them.
Another idea is to use a premade 'basics of hubpages' by another hubber and just insert your own tracker. Less work and you're giving the new person basic info instead of throwing them in the deep end!
