URL trackers - also called referral trackers - are for referring traffic and new members to HubPages. If you use a URL tracker to send someone to a hub, you will get 9-12% of the page impressions for that hub for 2 hours. If someone signs up for a HubPages account through your sign-up link, you will get 10% of the page impressions for that account for life, taken out of HubPages' 40% share.
Using the trackers will only benefit you financially if you have an affiliate account like Adsense or Amazon. You will get revenue from any clicks / sales on the page impressions explained above.
