I know this is a really dumb question, but I can't seem to think too well this morning. In order to add a background color to text on a hub, it must be aligned to the right. I open the html editor, but there is no existing code for the alignment. Do I treat it like coding on a webpage, or is there some special code HP uses?
thanks in advance and sorry for the newbie questions lately. I'm getting the hang of it
Place the capsule you want aligned (A) above a different capsule (B), then click on the right-oriented arrow on (A), which will then wrap itself around (B) on the right.
....and once you have the capsule on the right, open it up (click on "edit") and you'll see toward the top left the selection of background color - white, grey, or blue - and just click the one you want.
Thank you both so much. Okay, so it wasn't how I thought it would work. You think I would've noticed this with the text and image capsules.

The ability to change background colour of modules only seems to be possible when modules are aligned right. Is there a reason why colour can't be changed when modules are full width? Also when blue is chosen, the background colour actually turns out grey.

I have seen hubs with what I thought was the Callout capsule since it is in grey aligned to the right. I just tried using one but it does not align to the right. In fact there isn't an arrow for anything but up or down? If people are not using the callout box, then what is the...

You know what would be really great? If we could eliminate the "must be right-aligned" requirement to apply a background color to sidebars. In some cases, there are sidebar explanations that when right-aligned, extend beyond the capsule they are intended to accompany, sometimes quite...

I recently filled in a survey on how to improve HubPages but forgot to mention a very important design issue which has been bothering me for a long time. When a text capsule is very long, I like to turn it into 2 adjacent capsules so it works like 2 columns. Easier to read, right? But every time I...
