few leading newspapers of one country have published fake news pieces which they said to have come from wikileaks...though they regretted false news but this brings on surface various bodies in various countries trying to push their agenda on their people using name of wikileaks...what are your views on that?

I have done it myself, but my excuse is it was in the name of satire.

Obviously, with such a high profile all kinds of unsavoury characters (including me) are going to jump on the bandwagon.

well but this was serious...it came from prestigious newspapers and floated wrong news for another  country...i was thinking on lines like wikileaks name can be used by anti us regimes or anti israel regime or anti any regimes to push their agenda among their citizens ...this can be misused and cause more damage...

Anything can cause damage.  It's a very muddy world of information out there.

I guess there are a lot of organisations and individuals setting up dodgy mis information in order to profit from this exposure, or to gain some other edge.

Still at least we know it's not Julian doing it!  Maybe it's his mum.  Let's lock her up.

This is the post modern era, Internet era LOL, Things happen fast, and later on, they don't know the real thing anymore. Facts and information are transmitted faster in a global way, but it is easily muddled also!

Like any leaked information, the news organizations should have tried to verify what they have.  They have stopped doing that altogether it seems and it's one reaon why the news industry has no credibility.  If they didn't do their due diligience then they have no one but themselves to blame.
