I wrote this Gifts of Chocolate hub last year. I thought is was a good topic, but it hardly gets any traffic. A few weeks ago I edited it and added backlinks, but that didn't do much good. What do you think?
What do you expect? I googled "chocolate funny" and got 27 million(!) results. This topic is too saturated. Though tasty.
try some long tails and edit your content a bit to fit with those. You can consider changing the title also.
My suggestion would be to recommend products you know and think are good (or fake that you know them). "I’m not even sure what a pomegranate is, but I’m sure it tastes better with chocolate."--makes me think your advice might not be something I want to follow if you haven't even tried the product? Just my 2c.
