So what exactly is back linking? It is linking to previous hubs? Or linking to sites off of hubpages that are related? Can anyone clarify?

    Thanks!

Backlinking is creating a link from another site that points to your hub.

It does not have to be from another site guys - just another page. big_smile

exactly. Backlinks can come from within hp or from other sites. Even a comment on other hub or a forum post is a backlink to your profile.

You can get backlinks from a variety of sites such as article submission sites(Xomba, Snipsly, Squidoo) or Bookmarking sites where you don't have to write another article to include the link(Folkd, Reddit, Digg)

You will soon get the hang of it
