I've noticed some beautiful graphs and pictures on many hubs here and wondered what sources are being used. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Personally, for all of my hubs, I go by this:
If I DON'T provide a source, it's my own photography.
Otherwise, I'll give credit to the site it is from.
That's a good policy, KristenGrace. Perhaps the graphs and photos I've seen did have attribution, but I didn't pay appropriate attention.
This hub by Marisa Wright may help:

There are many people who don't attribute, and although the internet is a large place where it is difficult to track photos, I have heard stories of people getting emails telling them they're in breach of copyright.
Before the attribution directly under the photo was added, some hubbers would post attribution at the bottom of the hub.
Thank you, WryLilt, I think this hub will do it.
Is it ok to put attribution at the bottom of the hub?
HubPages provides an easy way to show the source of an image underneath the image. I think that is the best place because anyone who owns the image can immediately see that proper attribution is given. Furthermore, anyone who wishes to use the image can see the license and the attribution right away. There can be little confusion about that when it's right under the image.
Unless it's my photo, all of the photos on my hubs have captions underneath them detailing where they come from. Most of them come from iStockphoto. Others come from wikipedia.
Here is a link I use to find my images.

I enjoy the sense of community here and the helpfulness of so many fellow hubbers. Thanks for the many useful responses and hope I can be of some assistance to others as I better learn my way around.

Hi Hubbers, I mentioned in the past that we've been working with a company that helps identify SEO issues. Many of the issues they identify come in the form of penalties which they believe hurt the entire site. We've been trying to look at these penalties and come up with solutions that...

In a recent HubPages weekly email, it was discussing the fact that many use photos and do not provide a source. I was thinking that this may easily be addressed by HP by requiring a source in the source field inside the photo capsule, whether it is "self" or the Freedigitalphotos,...
