My hub about sexual abuse of children in religious cults was manually blocked from ads. I have asked the moderators twice and I have read the FAQ. My hub is based on book reviews of cult survivors. I do not think I have unfairly targeted any group, nor do I promote child abuse (I am against it).
What's going on?

Was also blocked manually by the moderators.
I think it is just the subject matter that is not google friendly.
My hub is a personal account of sexual abuse. It was written hopefully to help others,so ads being disabled is not a problem.
In hindsight,I think ads maybe devalue this particular hub.
Certain words automatically trigger the filter. Displaying ads on such content can get your Adsense account banned for good.
The staff need some time to review the hub. When did you contact them?
maybe 3 or 4 days ago, and again today. It says it was manually blocked, rather than by a filter.
here's the reply from the moderators:
'AdSense has requested that we do not serve ads on pages with graphic sensitive content, such as child molestation and rape content. This is for the protection of your AdSense account, as well as the rest of the site.'
So looks like HP allow sensitive hubs to be published, but blocks them from adsense because of adsense rules
They don't like the words that go with the subject, not the meaning just the words themselves. I doubt that Mr Googly al go rhythm can differentiate between the uses for a good or bad cause.
ok, so it's because it has words like sex and incest?
Yes. Replace those terms with "do it" and "kentucky love" and you'll be good to go.
(No offense intended towards Kentuckians.)
And I guess I really shouldn't joke about such an issue.
EDIT: But that never stopped me before.

I would love to have some guidelines about what constitutes 'adult content'. In two recent hubs I wrote about how to make love in the woods and in a car...with no "graphic" detail that I am aware...

Here's the hub in question, a humor piece on Valentine's day in the answer section: <snipped link>A moderator looking through the hubs personally stopped by mine, and without rhyme or reason, disabled...

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?

I've read no nudity or profane content, but I'm doing a hub related to breasts in a very tactful, tasteful way, not taking from Ms. Snow, either! (Saw the sagging man breast post "stuff"). I would...

I have two hubs that have had ads disabled by a moderator (not automatic filter) due to unsuitable content. Does this mean there was a complaint made by a fellow hubber or do moderators randomly check hubs for content?...

Has anyone had their Adsense Ads disabled? I noticed within my account where Hubpages explains traffic rising ^ traffic falling and so on. It's at the bottom of the page within your account. I'm...
