why do we get so hung the he** up on this one comercialized day of the year? if it werent for hallmark and russle stover most men would have nothing to offer and most women would have nothing to derride,...
i'll tell you what impress's me,.... i want a cold soda pop, for no particular reason on no special thursday,... just because. sit on the bumper of the truck and bullsh** with me while i drink it,... thats gona impress me a he** of a lot more than 12 red flowers that will wind up in the trash and candy that i dont know whats in side,... just get me a milkyway dark with my Dr Pepper,... i'm good. i'm not high maintenance.
how about you?
You know, it sounds like you and me had almost the exact same opinion about valentine's day if you had said this to me 10 or so years ago. However, I think main problem with Valentine's day is that people get so caught up with the commercialism of it, that many don't even bother to stop and think...WHY DO WE CELEBRATE IT? Sure, there's a few like myself that actually took the liberty of researching the history, but most people don't even bother.
Which is kind of sad if you ask me, as I think many of our holidays in america are becoming nothing more than for the purpose of commercialization. As far as what I think makes a perfect romance gift, I think as long as it comes from the guy's heart it should be counted as special.
....gotta reply to this one...
....me?...i already bought myself the chocolates and i buy myself flowers all the time...and i'm not sharin' the chocolates either...they're too good!
...if anyone is wunderin' what to get me? i gotta list of things...i'm registered for gifts at most motorcyle shops now!...just go in and ask for someway's list - it's there....and if you really wanna surprise me, I'll send you the pic of the bike i'm dreamin' about....does that all make me high maintenance?
...i don't feel like talkin' either!...i just want my bike parts....
i luv valentine's day
Agreed. I am not high maintenance on Valentine's Day. My hubby expects more than I do. He asked what I wanted and I told him some comfy pj's. He's thinks that is silly. I don't need Valentine's Day to express my love and gratitude for those I love.
