I'd like to see a word count ticker near the article content box as I draft my articles...
I write my completed article in Word before I publish, so I already know the word count.
Tim, I think Glamorously J has a point...with the number of hubs being unpublished and the stringent conditions it is better to have a word count ticker in each capsule...I guess it is no big deal for HP to implement.
Better safe than sorry , I guess!!
I would love to see this too.
I actually sit and count my words to make sure I feel the hub is long enough before posting.
I'd like to see that too (at least in some instances) (although, if anyone were to see my writing he'd see that I tend to have no problem with minimum word counts, and tend to disregard the entire concept of maximum word counts. (:)
I write first and then copy and paste;
but I do revise at times and a word count would be helpful.
I use the HubMetrics tab after I leave edit mode to check the word count. It is easy to use.

I know that the length of a good hub should between 800-1400 words, but where does it tell you how many words you have written?

What constitutes as word count on a hub?When people talk about word counts on hubs, and the word count in the hub metrics, does that include the number of words in the comments?

I am new here and just joined a few days back. I was wondering if there is a minimum or maximum word count limit on hub pages. I also wanted to know what these insert custom character, superscript and subscript links in the text capsule mean?I hope someone out there can help me....

I know that there is a discussion somewhere in here, but I couldn't find it. Sorry!I appreciate the new tools to help produce a featured hub, but the word count gets me down. Usually I have no problem getting to 1250+ words, but sometimes my Hubs just don't need that many words. It has check boxes...
