What if I'm being asked to verify and I don't want to. Why can't I just sign in. I don't want to give my # and I don't text. How do I opt out and publish my hubs?

That's no answer, I want to use sign in and not give my phone#. If someone want's to verify my account all they have to do is e-mail me. What's done with those phone #'s after they're used to verify. I thought this was a test (which would make it optional IMO) and I'd like to opt out.
i totally know what you mean....i m having the same problem.....why the helll....i have to give you my phone.....that insane...e mail me or something else that it will frustrate me enough so i will delete my account and i will start a campaign of hate alerting people not to use hubpages anymore ....
but do not ask for personal data...any kind of personal data....an email address is more than enough for verification.....if you want to prevent spammers there are other ways......but do not give us that crap that you want our personal data just to prevent spammers......
Jason, I have a problem. I cant verify anymore for my third account. I called for verification and I typed in the code correctly twice but then it said it is not correct. I typed in the word correctly as I heard it p or b. I tried first p then b, then b and p. I heard it right I suppose p.
I use one and the same cellphone, the first two account went ok, the third account of mine is not yet verified.

I can't even try this test. It just keeps saying the same thing...that a verification code was sent to my phone. It wasn't. And I double checked the number before submitting it. I know it was right. Is there no one in the Help department on weekends? If I just knew that then I'd know why no one is replying to my emails for help.
p.s. I'm trying to get them to at least call me before I have to put the phone on the charger.
The fault was mine...I checked my cell phone plan and realized texting was not included. Well it is now because I just ordered it and able to receive my code as stated above. So if you're not sure about your cell phone features, choose the voice call instead when applying for your verification code.
