I read somewhere on HubPages that our profile pages get rankings? Seem to remember it was a 1 up to a 4? Is that Google ranking? Can anyone explain to me what that means?
Every indexed page on the internet gets a page rank between 0 and 10. A 0 is reserved for very new and un backlinked sites while scores such as 10 are reserved for sites such as Facebook and Google with millions of backlinks.
Hubpages.com currently has a PR of 6. Without a lot of work, it used to be easy to get hubs up to a PR of 2-3 and higher with a bit of work.
Page rank is said to help determine how Google ranks pages in the search engines, although there are a lot of other factors that are more important.
So yes, if your profile is indexed it will get ranked - however a rank on your profile isn't important because you're not trying to get people to view you profile through search engines.

Hi, I am new to HubPages, but I've noticed some of my hubs are indexed on Google and some are not. One of the earliest ones I posted (over 4 days ago) has a little 'traffic falling' arrow next to it. I tried to search for it on Google, and despite it having the 'featured' symbol next to it on my...

Just checked yesterday's traffic, and it was horrible. My Monday traffic hasn't been this low since August 2011. I don't get it. It seems the more long, informative, media-rich hubs I write, the less traffic I get.
