Ok, what I want to do is use an amazon product picture for a picture in my hub. I would love it to be clickable, but I'm not sure how to go about that. Also, would more than two clickable links to different amazon products go against the overpromotion rule?
If not possible, would having the picture and later an amazon capsule with the product for sale be okay for amazon copyright rules?
... or should I just say bugger it to new ideas?
It's not going to happen, but what you CAN do, is put a nice good sized Amazon pic in your hub to let the readers see a close up of the item and put an Amazon capsule immediately below (or above).
Write your description of the item so that everything wraps sweetly and this will attract the reader.
Edi: you can have as many Amazon capsules in your hub as you want, so long as you have written 50 words for each capsule.
That is NOT a 50 word description - that is overall. So if your hubs contains 500 words, you can include 10 Amazon items (not capsules, unless you use 10 capsules set to one item).

Does anyone use them on HubPages? If so then also, how do you add them because the code is generated as HTML and last I knew we can't access the Source code. Is there a way to add into a photo or link capsule?

Janderson just submitted some great suggestions on this thread:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/126313#post2666393and I think this one deserves a suggestion post on its own. We're always being told to be discriminating with our Amazon capsules - less is more, they must be directly related, etc...

I was totally dismayed to learn that Ad-Blocking software is used by 41% of people. (The statistic appeared in "The Week" magazine.) That reduces impressions. We get 60% of views, but only 59% of those views yield ad impressions so only 35% of our views gives us earnings. If you get 1000...

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?

For the last few days I have had a problem with the Maven search bar popping up at inappropriate times. I answer the question, submit the answer, and my answer is lost and I am taken to the Maven seach bar. This has happened so often that I have taken to copying my answers before submitting so that...
