After encountering some difficulties I succeeded in grouping several hubs. The process is described in:
http://hubpages.com/hub/group_hubs
Comments and corrections will be appreciated. Thank you in advance,
Ludwik Kowalski (see Wikipedia)
P.S.
I was not aware that links to my own hubs are not allowed on this forum. But they are allowed in the Extreme Hub Makeover. For that reason I am going to start the same thread on that forum.
Thank you to those who responded.
Ludwik
I am 80 years old but still learning.
You've given the wrong link to your Hub - click "done editing" before you copy the URL.
However, as Wry says, you must not post links to your Hubs on the forums, except in the Extreme Hub Makeover section.
Thank you, Marisa. What is Wry? Where can I find the rules about posting on the fora? Please reply by regular email < kowalskiL@mail.montclair.edu >. This would be more convenient for me. I still do not know how to navigate in Hubpages.
Ludwik
I'm Wry.
And never give out your email publicly - it opens you up to a lot of spam.
Click the 'more' button under your post and edit it. As Marisa said you gave the wrong link. I've given it below.
When you go and post, there is a grey box on the left that tells you not to post links.
I went to the forum callled Extreme Hub Makeover and clicked on the "post new topic" link. The box on the left side conained this warning:
"Please note that forum posts that promote your own Hub will be deleted and may result in the closing of your HubPages account. Do not start threads for the sole purpose of promotion or posting links. Please use the Forums in the spirit of community! forum rules
Please check the HubPages FAQ before asking HubPages related questions in the forum."
Does this mean than linking to my own hub, the one I want to gather comment, is also not allowed? This seems to be in conflict with what they say about this post, and with what Wry wrote. Please help.
Ludwik
The extreme hub makeover forum is the one exception.
As per staff: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/7292
Don't worry, I've flagged this thread to have it moved to the correct forum. And if you look above, it has been. So you're all good.
When you go into each forum there is a post at the top telling you what it is for...
Firstly, if you're trying to link to your hub, this is the correct link: http://hubpages.com/hub/group_hubs
Secondly, you can only post self promotional hub links in the Extreme Hub Makeover forum.

This forum is a place for you to post hubs that you think are clearly of low quality and need flagging. Committed hubbers should follow this forum and check these hubs posted for quality when they have the time. If a hub has been clearly copied (for example from a PDF file that the plagiarism...

This has been perplexing me for a while - has something changed or have I just gone ga-ga?Being in a different time zone from most Hubbers, I rely on being able to click the "Your" button to catch up with who's posted on threads since I commented.Recently I've been missing comments...

While I'm being a policeman, I can't help noticing that there's a lot of self-promotion that goes on in the forums. Especially the "other topics" forums, where quite often you'll find posts with not much more than the link to the person's Hub.Surely the forums are places to discuss...

Hi Hubbers! A quick update to the forum rules: you can now post links to Hubs in the Improving Your Hub section! We want to make it easier for Hubbers to get Hubbing advice from the community and we hope this change will be well received. Let me know if you have any questions!

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...

The title says it all - just do it , the topics are often unprofessional, the discussions are never on topic and as a basically unmoderated area of the site they should not be appearing on our carefully crafted hubs.Remove the forum widget from all hubs!!!! also "related questions" should...
