Not sure what to do. I'm not in a MLM. I'm not promoting one, but I do know enough to write a few books on the subject, and spent the past few hours writing a pretty comprehensive hub.
When I finished, though, it gave me a warning about MLM content. Is it not allowed to write about that subject? I have no website I'm linking to... nothing like that.
Pardon my ignorance but what does MLM mean?
Thank you, Danette. I could google it, but haven't the time!
Multi Level Marketing. Amway, Shaklee and Melaleuca come to mind.
Go ahead and publish it and email the team and ask them to look at it. I recently had one that mentioned "forex" and it was labeled as being about forex. I wrote the team and they looked it over and said it was okay. It's just that topics like forex and MLM are hotbeds of poorly written articles, so this is how Hubpages cleans them up.
is there a way to contact them thru HP? I see an email address, but that's it. Much simpler and they already have my account up if I can do it thru hp
Don't worry about it, as it's only a warning. I have a whole slew of scam busting and generic advice hubs on MLM and all of them have the same warning.

I received a duplicate warning on one of my hubs (the first I have ever had). Apparently a large proportion of the hub appears on other sites. However, pretty much everything on this hub is my own work - I only added some of the product info which was relevant but even then it was not a lot. I...

I was hub hopping and had to flag a few hubs for being substandard (word count). One hub had exactly 10 words and 2 photos. There should be a way the system prevents you from publishing a hub like that except if it's in the poetry section.
