Newbie Needing Help

   I've gone through the information in the learning center already but I'm still in need of a little advice. What is the best way to get more readers? I'm not doing this to make money, I'm just interested in having others view my work and provide constructive critism so I can better my writing. I'm just not sure how to get people to see my work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   You can always post a link to one of your hubs in the Extreme Hub Makeover forum if you want others to give feedback on a specific hub.  It's the only forum in which you can leave one of your own hub links.
   
   It can help to follow the topic you're interested in by going to the Topics section and clicking on categories of interest. It gives an option at the top to Follow this Topic.
   
   It does help, especially at first, to post occassionaly in the forums, and people will generally click on your profile to find out more about you. I think commenting on hubs of authors you find interesting and helpful is a great way to become involved in the community and others who have similar interests will start reading your hubs.
   
   If you're on Facebook or Twitter, etc. you can post a link for your friends to read your hubs.

      When I uploaded my pic it ended up sideways and I don't knw how to fix it! lol. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a shot now.

         Hi FoD - There are many Hubs on this subject - search for and read through a few.  There are many, many ways to increase your readership, some are easy, some take a *lot* of work.  RebekahELLE gave you a couple of excellent suggestions.
         
         I usually get a quick, short burst on any of my articles when I first post about them on reddit.com and stumbleupon.com
         
         
         here's a quick tip about your photo if you want to fix it (it makes me a bit dizzy).  You can rotate the picture yourself using most any picture editor and then re-upload it to your HubPages profile.  If you are using Windows, you can even use MS Paint, which comes with Windows.
         
         1) Click Start --> Run and type "mspaint"
         2) Open your picture in it (either with File -> Open or by dragging your picture into the ms paint program)
         3) Click Image -> Flip/Rotate
         4) Rotate your picture 270 degrees (or 90 degrees counter-clockwise)
         5) Save your file & you're laughing.

            The photo previews in upright but when cropped it turns sideways. I'll try a different picture. Thanks for the advice

   There are several hubs on the subject, but I found when I first started when I was hopping hubs if I found something I liked or writing skills that I liked and I start following them they in return often would do the same. Make sure you leave comments on the ones you like and you will more than likely see your profile views and hub views go up.
