Is there a way to link to yahoo in order to increase traffic from that source.

Hubpages do not have a connection to yahoo, and I went to my yahoo mail site but could not see any way to do that.

    Thanks much for your help.

There are certain free services that allow you to submit your pages to various search engines including bing and yahoo. I'll try to find the link for you if you ccan give me a couple of minutes.

Have you tried optimising for yahoo SEO wise? A lot easier than ranking with google.

How is this done? How is it different from optimising for Google?

Submit express, free service but you can only submit 5 times per day. Hope this helps.

Read up on link building, properly done, thats usually more productive than submitting to search engines,

chances are that they already know of your webpages but are not currently ranking them high enough for traffic, submission to the same search engines will not change that

I think this is probably true but I have to say there were a couple of my hubs that I could not find at all on yahoo or bing. I submitted them via the link I've posted and within 7 days one of them was on the front page of bing for the keywords I wanted them to rank for, I found one of the others on page three. I don't know if that was coincidence or not.

Interesting . I might give that a shot, you never really know what the search engines are up to at any time

            Cheers

I use Yahoo Shine, you have the option of writing blogs about anything and you can place your links in them.

      That's a good idea.
I never would have thought to use Shine.
