I read about some people recommending The Keyword Academy program on Hubpages. I joined to see what I could learn, however, I'm wondering if the program is really what I'm looking for.
My main goal is to publish articles here and blog. However, I know that my knowledge of how to write keyword and SEO focused content could use some help. From what I can see now, the program focuses on creating niche sites and doing research for profitable keywords of which to write.
I mainly want to write about things that interest me and don't really care to do hours of research to find out the exact ratio of profitability of a potential keyword. I just want to know if I'm writing my articles in a way that will gain a decent amount of traffic. Of course, income is good, but I don't want to build a site with the sole purpose of earning X amount of dollars a month.am
Maybe there's more about the program I've yet to discover and should stick with it, but figured I'd ask here for some advice to stay with it or seek another path.
We're on the same page, Miss Meek. I did the Market Samurai trial and didn't sign up for the full program - not because it's no good, but because it didn't help me and actually made me a bit depressed!
I want to write about things that interest me, and the main thing that interests me is dance. Everything in Market Samurai told me that was dumb, because I couldn't compete on any of the keywords. I couldn't see any reason to sign up for a program designed to tell me all the things I should write about, when I knew I wouldn't!
That said, the principles of SEO and keyword research are extremely helpful, even if you don't want to use them to choose your subjects. There will always be several keywords or keyword phrases for any subject you pick, and research will tell you the most effective ones to use. So I found the trial very helpful, because I learned a lot that I could use. I'm sure the Keyword Academy would be the same.

Hi All,I've been focusing on trying to improve my keyword SEO and had a couple of questions - How many keywords do you try to rank for in a given article? I know this will depend on length and topic but ballpark? Can you try to rank for too many keywords? (Obviously if it makes the copy...
