If I wasn't dead before, I am certainly dead now.
I am soliciting opinions on lyrics and poetry.
I say go for it! I have 2 poems on hubpages and I've received good feedback on them. I'm very warmed that people take time to read my poetry and comment. In that way, hubpages is a great place to publish poetry.
At first I thought hubpages wasn't a good platform for poetry and that may be true in a sense - because with dedicated poetry submission sites, you're more likely to get constructive criticism on your work and therefore you have greater chances of improving.
Poetry is a wonderful way to express your feelings and thoughts. If you feel like lyrics and poetry, then definitely go with the flow, and challenge yourself to step out from your normal writing. It'll be a worthwhile experience.
No you are probably not - a cat has nine lives.
I also have lyrics and poetry posted. They don't typically offer the highest traffic, but I've gotten more comments on them than other articles with higher traffic:) Make sense? I take full advantage of the Hubpages opportunity to share anything I write no matter the content.

Do you think poetry belongs on Hubpages?I am going Hub Hopping and I would say 70% of the hubs are poetry. Now I like poetry, I even have one poem myself on Hubpages, but should poetry really be on here?

Hi - I've written my first two hubs, having completed many of the tutorials. I'd love some feedback on how I've utilized hubpages suggestions, such as creating good content, good titles, using images and links, etc. Thanks so much for your time!Bridgett
