I've been getting a lot of blank fan mail lately and also have sent it as well when following users.
The pop-up thing is kind of cool, but it would be nice if nothing was entered that fan mail isn't left. I naturally just hit Okay or whatever on the pop-up as I'd assumed it was some sort of confirmation versus a form on which to write some fan mail.
Just a though.
I have just submitted a fix for this and it will go out with our next release.
Gee I was wondering why I was getting blank fan mail lately. Now I know why. Glad a fix is on the way. Thanks Ari.
People can use one of the little checked options when they leave fan mail, and not an actual message.
Here's an idea: since those are all pre-determined, they should be pre-approved and not something we have to okay.
I like the fact that HP put back the number of followers on Hubs as of today. This is important as readers may want to see how well liked an author is when they read their Hubs.
But one thing that was taken away that I feel is just as important, is the ability to follow someone from their Hub without requiring them to go to their profile. I wonder what the thought process was in deciding to remove that feature. Maybe I'm missing something that lead to that decision.
I agree. I want to have the option to follow a hubber from his/her hub, not just from the profile.
A sightly related issue is I have trouble finding the number of followers someone has when it is in the current location near the flag. It seemed much more relevant under thi photo with other author stats.

In my years on this site I have seen so many people randomly follow me in hopes that I follow them back. And then as soon as I do, if the topics they write on interest me, they delete me from the hubbers they're following?Do you guys really think this makes people want to read and comment on...

How important do you believe it is to leave fan mail once you start following someone on Hubpages?Often times I will follow someone and then after I have gotten to know them a little better I like to leave fan mail. Unfortunately, that means sometimes I forget to leae fan mail even though I really...

I got an email from the editors saying:"We have reviewed your article, This is How I Trade Stock Options (Follow My Actual Trades), and, unfortunately, the article does not meet our quality bar"The editors don't tell me why it now failed to meet standards when it has been in a niche site...

I found myself being "followed" by no less than 3 new hubbers who are nothing but a profile...picture. How do we stop someone like this from "following" us? ... as I don't feel they are genuine hubbers at all so it is making me feel quite uncomfortable.

I do a fair amount of suggesting editorial changes to hubbers when I feel these may be helpful. I despise the challenge prompts testing whether or not I'm a person. First of all, my vision isn't exactly eagle acute. Second, if one letter or number is wrong, the mail won't send.I appreciate that I...

Do you follow back everybody that follows you?Just curious to know if hubbers follow people because they follow them
