I really want to insert a you tube video into one of my hubs but haven't a clue how to go about it. Also, do you need permission form the owner of the video? Any help would be greatly appreciated
You can use you tube videos in your hubs, click on share and copy the link address into your video capsule and preview it., it should work well. I think all you tube videos can be used (unless mentioned specifically ) without major issues..I am not so sure though
You cannot actually insert a video into a hub.
What you CAN do is use the video capsule. This provides a link to the video and is thus quite legal to use. Simply insert the capsule where you want it, edit that capsule and fill in the blanks.
That's great. Thank-you Sofs and Wilderness. It sounds suprisingly easy, I will therefore, no doubt make a mess of it at first attempt.

In order to add your own video to a hub, do you have to join youtube first, upload your video, then put it in the hub capsule? I wish I could upload my videos like I upload my photos.

I've tried both YouTube and Yahoo videos. When I enter either the link or the embed code, everything appears to be working except I cannot see or preview the videos in the capsule. I just get that funky little box with...

YouTube allows a start time parameter that, when used in a link, causes the linked video to start at the specified time. For example, in:http://youtu.be/Y0t-RqjMH-A?t=2m40sthe ?t=2m40s should cause the video to begin...
