I am in need of money so have decided to start doing Ghostwriting for others. I have tried Elance, Odesk etc with no success and finding clients remains a challenge. I am also concerned about what writing samples I should show them. Hubpages is the only place I have articles and its difficult to select a best few from 300 odd articles. Any suggestion and help would be highly appreciated.
I just sent you an email through 'contact me'....
I have not received any emails from you. Can you please resend it.
Just resent I think ( i thought I got the captcha thingy wrong, but it said it had sent!) - may be in the 'spam' section of your email?!
Anything you can share with others? I was very interesting in reading how this turned out. :\
Me too! I'm busy looking for alternatives as well...
Well I am still looking for help on selecting my best articles to show to my potential customers.
You're too good of a writer to make something like "1 cent per word, free revisions until you're happy" like what you'd have to deal with on elance. oDesk is slightly better, but you end up spending more time applying for jobs than working... if you want to do oDesk, do hourly ONLY. Chances of getting ripped off via contractual pay are high.
I recently did ghostwriting work for another hubber who paid me three cents a word to write. I had to quit recently so that I could complete schoolwork, work work, and write more hubs. This person might have a job for you. I don't want to publicly "out" this person, so I will ask this person if they need another writer if you're interested in this kind of pay. It's not a ton of money, but it can help you get by when you're in between contracts.
Let me know.
I simply forwarded the name of someone who was interested in paying for freelance work.....
I don't have any suggestions or tips but wanted to wish you luck!
www.VWorker is another place that pays decent. Yes you have to bid ,but you can actually do well there.
As far as selecting content to showcase, why not go with the HubPages own system that selects "Hot" and "Best". You may not always feel that's your best work, but if you have trouble deciding what your best work is, why not trust the readers input + HubPages article rating mechanism?

Hello Hubbers! I'm fairly new to HubPages, I've been here about a week now and love the community so far! Anyway, I was thinking, since we all have the same goal; to make money, get readers and help people, I thought I would make a topic for us all to discuss the best places to post our HubPages...

In the article tab there is a filter at the highlevel, HubPages, Soapboxie, etc. I like the HubPages filter having all articles across all domains. It would be helpful to have a filter that showed all the articles that are NOT part of the HubPages domain together. And then to have a...

I just joined writing.com hoping to get feed backs on my HP articles, but most of the writings there are novels, short stories and poems. I did not see any info-article (all of my writings on HP are info-articles), unless I missed the section on this. Your comment pls.
