I recently tried to read a hub that I thought was interesting and had to keep muting the video ads at the top of the page to get through it without having to mute my computer. As I was already listening to music, it was very distracting and irritating.
This is the hub:

I am wondering what you all think about this and whether these intrusive ads will change the amount of time readers spend viewing our hubs.
If anyone knows how long a person needs to stay on the page for the HP Ads Program to count it as a view, I would love to know that. Do you think that these videos could have an affect on our views and revenue? What do you think.

I just visited a hub. As I began to scroll down, I heard an audio (sounded like Italian) playing. I thought it may have been a video capsule but found it was an ad playing at the bottom of the hub. Is this what's happening now?

This probably isn't a bug, but it's annoying and I wish Hubpages wouldn't do it. There is an ad which plays sound appearing on some of my hubs. I think it's a cricket ad with the sound of a bat hitting a ball, and a crowd cheering. The ad is also one which appears right at the bottom of the page,...

When did the large floating ads appear on our Pages? Do we receive revenue from these ads or are they designed to take people away from our page before people get a chance to read our content? What are you feelings about these ads. I find them extremely distracting but could put...
