For the past month I have not been getting messages of new comments. I did check my notification settings and it is still set for me to get a notification for each new comment on my hubs to be sent to my e-mail address I have had since starting my account with HP 3 years ago. I have not changed anything and still get the daily digest for the hubs that I do follow.

Surely you appreciate that this is a part of the clever new Traffic Generation strategies that were put in place when no better Traffic Generation ideas could be found after those Poogle Ganda Hits to HP in their previous efforts for Traffic Generation and seo techniques!
I get few but when I go to my stats and look up comments there are some I have never been notified of.

Is this intentional? If you are not following a Hub, you will not get a notification when there is a new comment on it.
I am not getting comment notifications on my new hubs. Those 2 you mentioned are old. I wrote them therefore I would be following them am I right?
I see. Can you provide me with a specific comment that you think you should received a notification for, but in fact did not? This would help me in debugging the problem.

The last comment by CJStone I never got a notification of any new message and that was just in the last 1/2 hour.

The last comment before mine I have yet to receive a notification of that one.
I just went over our email records, and it appears that we have sent you 160 emails in the last month as a result of Comments on Hubs which you are following, of which 84 appear to have been opened.
It's possible that the remaining 76 have been mistakenly marked as Spam by your email provider. Can you please check your Spam folder to see if the remaining emails are there?

I have found that receiving new comments is working sporadically. I had published a hub and received comments, which I didn't receive an email for.
I never get emails about new comments on my hubs, because I have different settings, but I have been getting emails when someone I am following posts a question. I haven't checked my settings, but I know I didn't request emails for this and wonder if it's a new feature...
Yes, this is indeed a new feature. Previously we sent a notification when a Hubber who you are following publishes a new Hub. We recently added two new, similar, notifications:
-When a Hubber who you are following asks a new question.
-When a Hubber who you are following creates a new Forum Topic.

It would be great if we received notification of new comments. I was reviewing my hubs today and found comments that I didn't know were there. This notification could be on the account page or, better yet, by email.

I've had two comments on two separate hubs today and the notification on neither one was emailed to me to let me know they were there.I just happened to see them in the numbered section in the top part of the screen where the word "notifications" is.Has something changed and we don't get...

I've noticed lately that for some reason, I won't get notifications of comments on random hubs... all my other ones still email me though.Then I go look the main page on here and it says I have like 23 comments that I haven't approved yet... So I go look and they're way old and sure enough somehow...

I know comments have been gone for a long time on HubPages and the various topical sites, such as HobbyLark and Owlcation, but I missed the discussion on why they were removed. Doesn't that adversely impact engagement? It's hard to know how my hubs are impacting readers or if they're making any...

We recently made an improvement to how notifications are handled on comments on your Hubs. If you would like to receive a notification when someone comments on your Hub, you will now need to "follow" your Hubs. If you had previously configured a Comment Capsule to email you...
