I do not have a google adsense account, can I still take part in the contest. I am waiting to get a decent hubber score before I apply for adsense account. I also want to know - is it necessary to have an adsense account to get enrolled in the hubpages earning program.
NO! not at all.. the contest has nothing to do with adsense, you may need a paypal account as Hubpages pays you through paypal if you win.
You do need an adsense account to join the Hubpage earning program.
Sorry, sofs, you are wrong.
You do need to have an Adsense account to apply for the HP Ads Program and contest payments will be paid through that program. You could try clicking on "contest" at the top of the page to read all the rules.
UW , I just read the FAQ on this and found that I am wrong... sorry..I came back to clear up any confusion it may cause. Thank you.
@Mala this is what the FAQ says
Anyone meeting the geographic criteria is eligible to earn from a contest, but in order to get paid for a contest, you need to be enrolled and in good standing with the HubPages Earnings Program. If you win a contest but have not joined the HubPages Earnings Program, you will get an email reminding you to sign up.

Currently I'm signed up with Google Adsense and I've been debating whether I should sign up for the Hubpages Earning Program because I'm hesitant to give out my tax information. Or should I worry about this only after I have a decent amount of traffic coming to my hubs?

I will try in short because I explored whole day about HubPages and I still need some confirmation how to proceed on best way if possible? Before 2 years I lost AdSense because of stupid reasons like wrong keywords (I know, I was rookie) and since it was impossible for me to check all blogs + posts...

On browsing the forum, I have become aware that we can't earn on HubPages without AdSense. This is a grim realization for me.I have 29 featured hubs that are generally considered to be of reasonable quality. I applied for an AdSense account over a year ago, and since then I've had nothing. When I...

I have applied the adsense account through hubpages. However, I know that adsense won't approve an account so easily, I wonder if my hubs still earn ads revenue before adsense's approval?I have read the FAQ and it claimed that even with no adsense, writers can still earn through hubpage earning...
