    Hi Everyone,

Over the weekend, HubPages added support for Yahoo Video.  If you would like to find a Yahoo! Video to add to your hub, go here.

To add a video, click on the icon that looks like an envelope.  Then, copy the link url to a video capsule.

HubPages now supports videso from the following sites: YouTube, Google Video, Revver, Metacafe, and Yahoo Video

Are there any other video sites that you would like to see us support in the future?

Does anyone use Yahoo video? YouTube has cornered the market....mostly. Still good to have another option.

      Hi rethansmith,

Great suggestion. I've taken a look at Vimeo and I think that we will be able to add support in the next week.  I'll post on this thread when it's added.

      Hi Stacie L,

Thanks for letting me know.  Which Yahoo! Video are you trying to add?  I'll see if I can add it to one of my hubs.

            Hi Stacie L,

I tested it out and Yahoo! Video worked fine for me.  I added the Yahoo! video to yoru hub successfully.  I hope that's ok.  It is currently there.

Please let me know if you hit any more issues regarding Yahoo! Videos.

Am I correct that this feature is what has generated the slide show stats on our account page? I've been MIA for a while, and just noticed this.

    1. larryfreeman profile image83
larryfreemanposted 14 years agoin reply to this

      Hi CrashCromwell,

The slide show stats was a separate add-on.  All I did here was add additional video web site to the list that HubPages supports.  HubPages will now support Yahoo! Video and Vimeo Video.

I've been feeling enormously guilty, but I have been highly productive in my absence. I decided at the last minute (almost literally) to join the National Novel Writing Month (Nanowrimo) contest. For those who are not familiar with this, it's a contest where entrants try to write a complete first draft of a novel between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30, with at least 50,000 words. I already had a story sketched out in my mind for the second book in my series, and decided this contest was the perfect way to jumpstart that process. I'm pleased to report that I hit 50,000 words about a half hour from midnight, just before Thanksgiving. The draft is not yet done, as it has some holes in it, but I'm hoping to fill them before Christmas, so I can print out copies of this and give them to my two oldest kids as gifts. So I may not be writing many hubs until after Christmas, but at least I have a spare moment to post in the forums.
