What does "sandboxed" by Google mean?

      You lose almost all of your google traffic literally overnight.  Nine months and counting in my case.  No big deal, it's only thousands of dollars.  sad

        I don't have traffic to lose, but for possible future reference, what kinds of infractions get one "sandboxed"?

          I wrote a hub about my experience in the sandbox, and that lays out the possible reasons why as well as the signs and symptoms. Its all to do with linking really, and the way HP is set up each of our subdomains start off with an awful lot of links.

          I still don't know why some people are affected, and others not.
