Usually when a new comment is made on one of my hubs a little green number appears where it says notifications. However, I was just on the kind of home page where there is a feed of activity and I noticed a new comment that had not shown up as a notification.
The comment was pure rubbish and so I deleted it. Then I scrolled down and noticed more comments. On one of my Hubs someone had posted around 500 words that I assume had been copied and pasted into my comments section. Was all spam and not something I want on my hub.
Is there a reason these comments were not showing up? Do they get spotted as spam automatically and therefore not show up. Is this something that I have not noticed before? Or more worryingly, is this a bug and comments are slipping through without me noticing?
I had the same kind of comment on one of my hubs... it looked like it was copied and pasted and mid way through and had nothing to do at all with my hub. I deleted it immediately. I was notified by email of the comment but I didn't notice whether or not it showed up on my main HubPage with the numbers next to comments like you were talking about.
I just logged on again this morning, 3 new comments showing up in my notifications. Then I check the feed and there are two more comments that are full of links. Again I deleted them, think they must be automatically showing up as spam.
Yes i to have been getting these kind of comments on one of my hubs as well. I have deleted five already this morning. I think we are under a Spam attack .
On my hub these comments are listed as in green NOT SPAM or DELETE FOREVER and other comments are not listed like that. If it looks like Spam and it reads like Spam, It's Spam .
I have not been notified of any comments I get unless I actually click on the comment tab I would not know I have comments pending. I have not had any spam comments either though.
I'm getting emails saying I have comments but finding nada I'm thinking, somebody posted a comment then deleted it? no idea, but it's annoying

Normally, I approve 99% of all comments left on my hubs. But twice today, and once yesterday, there were comments left, all by "anonymous," that I simply denied because they were just way out of line. Not demeaning, offensive, hateful, or anything like that...just WAY off topic.In...

Why are my comments not showing up on your hub?

There is a glitch on the HP home page. It must be a glitch because the comments are visible on the actual hubs:When authors have their hubs moderated, comments are hidden until they are approved. However, as of today (Friday 11th) this changed. Even if the hubs are un-moderated and you...

When I first started my hub I did some comments on other hubs from other authors. It is fun to read other stuff and get recipes, hear funny stories, etc. and participate in the conversation. These first comments appeared instantly. Now when I comment they say they are unapproved. Not all are...

Why would anyone delete a comment on their hub?If I deleted a comment on one of my hubs, I would figure I am not good at dealing with people who might disagree with me. People can agree or disagree, it's a free world. If the comment was mean or nasty, well I'm not the one looking bad,...
