I'm one of the unfortunate ones who have lost traffic recently. Looking at my webmaster tools I see that in the links to my site tab, there is a site SEOprofiler dot com which has links (apparently) to at least 9 of my hubs.
I've personally never been to that site nor even heard of it. I tried contacting their support but its asking me to log on first.
So my question is...is that site legit and does anyone else have supposed links to their hubs from a site like that? And if not how on earth can I get them removed. I wonder if that is part of the problem why google no longer likes me.
Any ideas?
I suspect your traffic downturn in unrelated - http://www.seoprofiler.com/bot/ - seems harmless enough.
Ok. Thanks for that. I've almost pulled out all my hair trying to get to the bottom of it. My pages crawled went from 130ish to zip.
Back to the drawing board.
Interesting you should mention your crawl rate collapsed. So did mine, but it came back up just as quickly. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/98790
I try not to worry it's something totally not within my control other than providing content. I hear there's going to be a 'disavow' button coming soon where one can 'disavow' suspicious links. I'm not sure how 'G' measures link worth but least we know those that are frowned upon. Traffic may turn around again with the next algo spin

I went into Webmaster Tools this evening, and it is saying my site isn't verified. When I click to verify, it says the Google Analytics code is in the wrong location. My Google Analytics account is working.Am I the only one? If so, what can I do to fix this? Thanks!!

Bing did a killer update to their webmaster tools. I really like the keyword tool.

I just checked my Webmaster Tools and can see a sudden, dramatic rise in strange 404 messages - and that rise coincides with my fall in traffic. Can others check to see if they have the same? It's as if Google is inserting HubPages' categories into my sub-domain to create...
