Do you believe that ancient aliens helped in the ancient development of human civilization?
Do you believe in the ancient alien theory, and if you do what has been the most compelling evidence for you?
It's a fun idea. I do keep a bit of an open mind towards the theory. But, I enjoy the theories more for entertainment.
If Aliens did help our advancement, this is a big world. And it could take a longtime to find anything concrete to prove it with.
Though, there are many hints in history. That our ancestors had knowledge they shouldn't have been able to possess. There are some interesting documentaries that cover this well.
I can't really think of anything that is striking evidence for Aliens influencing our past. There's no one thing. It's more like a collection of little things. Particularly, how many ancient structures seem beyond our ancestors ability to create them. Such as the pyramids, which you can find not only in Egypt, but in other civilizations as well.
There's also structures that suggest an understanding of mathematics beyond the knowledge of our ancestors. This, is only scratching the surface.
Some myths in a variety of cultures too, imply we were visited by otherworldly visitors from the stars. Whether or not they're is a grain of truth to them, well who knows.
If Aliens did influence our development, it's possible a large portion of our ancient deities (if not all) were Alien cultures. Zeus, could've been an Alien with a ray gun.
Well, it's a fun idea to entertain anyways. But, I'm a writer. So I deal in the currency of wild theories and ideas. ^^ So, I don't mind if it's farfetched. It entertains me.
I do not believe in this hypothesis because I have seen no evidence for it.
Yes, I believed aliens help to the development of human civilization .But I don't have any strong evidence for the same.
I never gave much thought to this theory until recently when I started watching documentaries on the subject. While I wouldn't say there is definitive evidence, I would say that this explanation makes more sense, and has more weight, than the religious/supernatural interpretations of mythology. Everything we know about mythology is based on something translated many times, into the closest words we can come up with. So a visitor from the sky is just as likely to be an alien as a god. But what really surprises me is the astrological significance of ruins all over the world. It seems that they all focus on, or depict, the stars along Orion's belt. It does seem odd that all of the cultures, that were supposedly unconnected, were all interested in the same area of the sky. Also, when you consider that the rapid increase in human intelligence happened all within the last 3000 years, even though our species is considerably older than that, it makes you wonder what spurred us into this level of intelligence and why all of our mythologies about sky gods popped up around the same time. I suppose someone who is religious might argue that this was divine intervention, but for an atheist, aliens make more sense. If you consider also, that we may be descended from a dying race that came to earth, then it also explains why all of our depictions of gods look like us.

When I was eight years old living on Nebo U.S. Marine base near Barstow, California in the middle of the Mojave Desert I had my first encounter with a UFO. It was in the morning while hunting for lizards. I truly don’t know what I observed high in the sky in the near distance. It did not have a...
