Which one will you choose and why?
a) A life striving for the downtrodden people
b) A life to realize yourself and divinity, simply a spiritual life
c) A life to live every second happily with your beloved ones
d) A life to prove your talents, making ng money, going around the world...
e) A life without caring for anything and living happily
Wanna know people's minds
This is quite a question and will probably change over time. When young we want to change the world. With age comes the realization that the only thing we can change with any certainty is ourself. You have listed options, e.g. a) b) et cetera. But if you go for b) and you keep it up long enough, the chances are this 'spiritual life' will lead you into some sort of 'service.' That is, you will feel inclined to help the world by helping others. It seems to be a natural correlations to 'spiritual awakening.'
I think the last option: e) is almost impossible. Not caring for anything means not caring for yourself either. But I'm thinking you mean a self-centred, ego-centric life where you care not for the opionions, let alone the welfare of others. If this is the case, the outcome will probably be bitterness and disillusionment in later life.
If you go for option b) the chances are you will find yourself embracing a) b) c) and d) You'll love people. You'll love and appreciate your family. You'll develop your talents and skills so you can use them to greater effect. And that might even include making plenty of money so you can help more people.
So, as I said, the choices are likely to change over the years. But there's really nothing to stop you grabbing and holding and using all the options, including occassional periods enjoyment simply for yourself. The occassional changes of focus will make for a more all-rounded person.
Thank you for your answer Tusitala Tom! You are saying that spiritual life can bring happiness! Thank you again this question stuck in my mind for ages!

If you could choose a new name for yourself, what would it be, and why? This was originally a question asked by my teacher at school to the entire class and only one person said they wouldn't change their name; so I am guessing majority of people would like a new name!

Why are so many people selfish and mean, even to family members?Maybe I shouldn't be surprised any more, but why are so many family members selfish and hurtful to other family members? Life is precious, and flying by, and even if someone isn't your favorite person, why can't more just be kind...

~ Why do you need to follow any religion? ~I am just curious as to why people need to, or choose wanting to believe in, follow, and participate in any religious affiliation? What drive people to believe in their religions? Is it simply because of tradition, upbringing, or an actual spiritual...
