Yes, everything we have today begins with thought and came out of someone's "imagination". Control your thoughts control your life.
Studies have been conducted that illustrate "positive thinking" and "negative thinking" can affect us physically. What we think and (believe) has a large impact on how we feel and what we do.
A "hopeful" person and a "hopeless" person can react to (the same challenge) dramatically different.
Learning to control our own "self-talk" is a challenge for most of us. We're bombarded with "news" and other outside sources (advertisers, family, friends, co-workers, and mates/spouses all competing for mindshare from us.
They want us to think about whatever it is (they) want us to focus on. Meditation is a form of "mental toxic cleaning". The goal is to initially empty the mind of thoughts and then gradually affirm and visualize whatever (you) want for yourself.
It's the ultimate exercise of "me time".
Being in tune with oneself does not mean one can avoid dying it may however remove the fear. Peace of mind is priceless!
"The kingdom of heaven is (within)." smile

I believe in the Spirit, the body is the past. It is just a vehicle and should be transcended. If it lasts 100 years, good, but it must go. So there should be no attachment to it. Also, all of the burdens and nonsense about cultures, territories, race, and status should be dumped with it. Since it will go someday anyway. There is no point in becoming entangled in this or that because of a body. If there was no physical body to condemn, would those issues still exist?

Totally. Expansion is life; narrowness is death. Rigidity is death; flexibility is life; Separation is death; Oneness is life.

In the beginning was the birthless and deathless Absolute (Silence). This Absolute projected or manifested Itself in the form of Sound, what we know as a Creation and all that it entails. Take away the Spirit, and the body-mind dies. Take away the mind, and the Soul will utilise the body, but like it does in an animal. Take away the body, and there is no house or temple for the Soul to glorify the Absolute; to manifests Its dreams.

We need the beauty of the flute; the power of the organ and the vibrancy of the piano. Still one Orchestra. In the same way, one of your children may be a doctor, another a lawyer and yet a third may be a politician. All things have their usefulness and purpose in God's Creation, which is essentially one in Consciousness.

There is nothing outside God, if He made it, then it's definitely part of the whole and will ultimately blend as one. In Love and Light.
