What factors makes the upper middle & upper classes more advanced & forward thinking than the
lower, working, lower middle, & even the solidly middle classes?
HI Grace Marguerite Williams! How's it going?
Has it been established that the upper middle and upper classes are more advanced and forward-thinking than the rest of us? My understanding is that political conservatism tends to benefit such people best. If we're talking about politics, for example, it would depend upon what you mean by "advanced" and "forward thinking."
By "forward thinking," do you mean future-oriented? And if you mean "future-oriented," what do you mean by that? What kinds of policies and technologies does a "forward thinking" person advocate?
By "forward thinking," do you mean politically liberal? Is it forward thinking to hope that Hilary Clinton wins the presidency of the United States, so that we can finally check off that box and join the rest of the civilized world, in having had a woman head of state?
Does "forward thinking" mean advocacy for full LGBT rights? By "advanced," what do you mean? Do you mean "educated"? Therefore, do you mean to say that "educated" people are more "advanced" than less well educated people?

Now that I am married, we are middle class citizens - upper middle class (my husband is professor in a university. I guess education made the...

Do you think art classes should be offered in elementary/middle schools? Some people feel as if art classes are a waste of tax-payer's money, others feel that they are essential to proper child development, where do you stand?
