Enemy, is state of mind. When we start thinging somebody like enemy, we sow, knowingly or unknowingly, those thoughts in our inner mind. This can be eliminated by directing our thoughts in positive way.Once you create those thoughts in your mind, Whom you are thinking like enemy become friend.
This is a thought-provoking question. I don't really know if it is possible. I think of the nazis and the muslim fundamentalists and they will sometimes say the right thing, but then go and stab you in the back. If someone is your enemy because they dislike your thoughts and way of life in general, I don't think you can change their minds very easily.
The Chinese say that the only man who can be your enemy is the man you don't know. So, the answer may be to get to know him, ask him about himself and be interested in his goodness, not his enmity.
