While meteorology, the study of weather, and seismology, the study of earthquakes, both fall under the umbrella of Earth science, one is not thought to affect the other. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there is an equal distribution of earthquakes in cold weather, hot weather, rainy weather, etc. Changes in atmospheric pressure are minute compared to seismic forces involved in earthquakes.
