Is this generation living in the Last Days according to the bible?

There is so much chaos in the world today, wars, nuclear weapons.  The United Nations and a One World Government. But at the same time, people have been saying we are living in the last days for a very long time.  So, is it true are we living in the Last Days or not?

There are still sign yet to come before Christ's second coming. I believe the chaos in this world will get far worse any anything we have seen so far, but one thing is clear, " this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come." John 24:14 (NKJV)

There is no direct evidence in the Bible that these are the last days. The only scriptural evidence that the last days are upon us are not accepted by most of Christianity or the religious world.

Every person who reads the Bible can see the signs just like a woman in labor. We do not know when the child will exit her body, but we know it will exit soon.

The signs of the time have been happening increasingly each year as we approach Christ's coming. We have not yet met all of the requirements.

One is that the gospel will be preached in all the world.
We still need get into China and the Middle East.

We need to have a temple rebuilt where the Dome of the Rock is, unless it will be converted into a temple by the seed of Aaron to offer a sacrifice in it.

New Jerusalem needs to return as a capital for Christ's Kingdom.

True Saints of God will begin to be persecuted for their faith, killed and murdered.

The Anti Christ will deflect away from Christianity and all religious teaching and focus on his new religion. Muhammad was thought to be the ant-Christ. Joseph Smith II or Junior ad the LDS call him was thought to be anti-Christ too.

Neither of these mean fit the bill for what the anti-Christs will do. Yes, there will be a number of them and they started when abortion and homosexuality became normal.

It will continue until we will be worse the Sodom--not because of homosexuality only. Homosexuality is nothing compared to how evil people will become before Christ comes.

People will be lovers of their own selves and glorify their bodies as items of worship. Some rape children which is worse than in other sexual crime. Others blaspheme God's name and ignore Him and His prophets, because He has them. That is happening now.

There is so much more, but I have to refrain because of the fact that I cam a LDS Christian or Mormon people may just ignore that I speak the truth about the little bit that I did.

We as Christians have a lot of work to do before Christ returns and we are not doing enough! Instead of arguing about our difference we should be uniting on are common goal to love each other as we love ourselves.

If we do that we can unit and get more work done for the poor and needy and the sick and afflicted. The last days are supposed to be a time of rejoicing for Christians because we will get to succor the needy and welcome our master to Earth to reign.

This is a hub now. Wow. I guess I should make it a hub but I won't do it.

    Good morning precious sister.

In Revelation 6 it talks says in the third seal most people will be very poor while a few will be very rich. Never before has that occured in a world wide situation like we are in now.

The sixth seal talks about earthquakes. Look it up. Since the begging of the twentieth century there has been more earthquakes and they are coming stronger and with much more frequency.Eathquakes release volcanoes. Look up super volcanoes and see how they can make islands disappear as they have in the past which is why they are finding submerged civilizations off the coast of Japan and South America.

    Edric
Living in China for ten years I can testify that there are more Chinese Christians than there are communist.
Look up persecuted Christians and you will see that Christianity is thriving in the middle east and yes we are more persecuted all over the world than at any other time. I do not know about where you live but from what I see 2 Timothy 3:2-5 is very much alive and well all over the world.
The anti-Christ comes after the rapture which will happen as described in Revelation 7:14. The key phrase is "out of". Noah was brought out of the flood. Lot was brought out of Sodom. The people who came out of Jereselum did not suffer the fate of the people who were conquered first by the Babalyonians and later the Romans.

    God bless you.

No not at all. The World is not in chaos at least nothing like it used to be. It's a fact that there is considerably less warfare than there was in medieval times and as a proportion of the population the numbers killed are tiny compared to the wholesale slaughter there once was. We don't have hoards of invaders raping and pillaging across our lands (with the exception of isolated African states). We don't have aristocratic lords holding us to serfdom and randomly killing the population. We no longer have an evil tyrannical Christian Church butchering its opponents and controlling our thoughts and deeds. Many of the diseases that ravaged humanity have been consigned to history. With the exception of a few isolated pockets we do not have famines that wipe out half the population anymore. We are healthier now than any time in our history living double the lifespans expected 500 years ago. Technology enables us to live better than medieval kings.

You mention the United Nations as if it is some dark satanic organisation but no other organisation in human history has done so much to bring about peace, stability and understanding between nations.

Go speak to the geologists and vulcanologists and they will show you graphs that demonstrate that there has been no significant increase in the number or strength of earthquakes or volcanic eruptions for hundreds of years.

People wail against a perceived decline in sexual morality but nothing has changed, it's just no longer in the closet.

If the end times refer to anything a study of history will tell you that the 'End Times' were a reference to the utter destruction of Israel between AD70 and AD135.

From WATERSTAR, This is a very good question many Churches is playing around this idea at this time, and i belive the reason is because a whole Lot of people is going through a very hard time financially , marrage brakedown, and awhole lot of problem not even the Government can fix for them, i speak for myself as what i see ,we sure need big time help because of a Large growing population of people and the people are getting more and more imoral by the day, everybody just want to do whatever they feel like doing not to many people Lisening anymore to nobody, just Like the time of the flood in Noah days. Genesis Chapter six,and GOD did what He did because people ignore His warning and would not take proper heed to His warning, people kept on doying whatever they feel Like doing and GOD said enough is enough and send a WORLD wide FLOOD,i dont belive GOD is going to send a WORLD wide FLOOD this time, that why we have a RAINBOW after a big rainfall, GOD have another Method He will use instead of a flood,we have been Living in the Last DAYS for a Long while now i belive the owner of this world is Coming very soon because we are in a time that Little Man NOW have the power to play GOD by cloning sheep, man now have too much knowledge, just Like the time of NOAH, yes i believe we are at the end of the LAST DAYS.AND THE LORD IS SOON TO COME.BY WATERSTAR:

According to Hindu mythology and texts this is "Kali yuga". It began at midnight (00:00) on 18 February 3102 BC in the proleptic Julian calendar, or 14 January 3102 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendar. This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Krishna left Earth to return to his abode.
Many religions tell similar stories, I wonder if there is a connection.
The Kali Yuga is sometimes thought to last 4,32,000 years
Prophesied events during a Kali Yuga:

A discourse by Markandeya in the Mahabharata identifies some of the attributes of Kali Yuga. In relation to rulers, it lists:
Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly.
Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world.
People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.
"At the end of Kali-yuga, when there exist no topics on the subject of God, even at the residences of so-called saints and respectable gentlemen of the three higher varnas [guna or temperament] and when nothing is known of the techniques of sacrifice, even by word, at that time the Lord will appear as the supreme chastiser."

With regard to human relationships, Markandeya's discourse says:

Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur.
People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that.
Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life.
Sin will increase exponentially, whilst virtue will fade and cease to flourish.
People will take vows and break them soon after.
People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.
Brahmans will not be learned or honored, Kshatriyas will not be brave, Vaishyas will not be just in their dealings.

These are not my views. It's what the texts say.

Absolutely we are living in the last days.  There is so much evidence it would take a 100 page document to spell it out.

    Daniel 7, Daniel 11, Revelation 1-7, Ezekiel 37-39.

Let me see if I can narrow it down.

In 1948, Israel was reborn as a nation. The Bible says it is this generation that would see the beginning of the end.  And that we have.

My grandmother was born in 1910 for example.  She died in 1987.  In her lifetime and her generation she saw these things come to pass.

    1) Israel reborn in a day.
    2) Knowledge will increase.
    3) Travel will increase.
    4) Earthquakes in various places.
    5) The whole world will hear the gospel.
    6) As the days of Noe (Noah) so will it be in the end

If we just take those and those alone and apply them to that generation, my grandmother saw earthquakes increase in rapid form, the computers came, we went from horse and buggy to autos and airplanes becoming a common mode of travel.
And now, via satellite, the entire world can hear the gospel and for the first time EVER, we can see the two witnesses in the streets of Jerusalem from around the world!

A five generational pastor (getting up in years now) said when he was a young boy, some of the preachers were talking and decided there must be a mistake in the Bible because how can the whole world see the two witnesses in Jerusalem?
    But now we can.

Electricity in my grandmother's lifetime became a norm, as did indoor plumbing.  Radio and TV.  From CB to cell phones.

I think some Scripture relates to Sodom and Gomorrah and others to Noah. Either way, we are selfish (lovers of self), and seeking temporary pleasures and there is definitely sexual immorality.

How much plainer can that be?  I do not know.  It seems WE make it complicated. The Bible is not so complicated.  "Daniel, never mind, seal it up until the end and then I will reveal what it means."  (I paraphrased).

I hope I'm getting raptured out of here!

Think of Rev.  Do you think a locust with a man in the window is a helicopter? Do you think a scorpion is a fighter plane that spits "fire from it's tale"?

Those are just a FEW signs of the end.  Then there is the barren Israel turned productive.  Never in our history, has all of these unfolded in ONE generation.

I do not feel "doom" when I think of the end times. I see why some do but I truly believe that it is not about doomsday. It is about the Great White Hope. God will deliver His people from the tribulation.

We are certainly shifting gears at this time, and approaching the beginnings of the 'birth pains' - God is telling us to get ready to act with His authority, rather than make excuses for why Gods Kingdom principals have not been seen working in the church (body of believers).

The word tells us that "on earth as it is in heaven" rules the day, yet we have not appreciated that all the things on earth are subject to how things ARE already in Heaven.

There is no authority for infirmity in Heaven.
There is no room for strife in Heaven
    There is no poverty
There IS agape love in Heaven

I have stayed silent for many months as God has taught us that we are empowered to bring His Kingdom to bear on this earth, now it is time to bring that authority into reality.

Yes the Lord will return soon for His people,  our task from here on is to work exclusively for His Glory and bring Yeshuas' salvation to those who will be saved.

Every believer has the full power of Yeshua and God to exercise in the name of the Lord, we now need to start using it to bring in the lost sheep, and those in darkness.

No. There are still prophecies that must come to fruition. They have not. No one knows, not even Jesus Christ knows when God the father will call him to return.

Every generation has people in it that believe they are the (last) generation. I'm certain during the "Great Depression", World War I & II people thought the world was coming to an end. They also felt the same way during the Cuban missile crisis, Desert storm, Y2K, and with every uprising that occurs in the middle east.
It's possible the world may come to an end but it's not likely to be in our time. Oddly enough there seems to be people who are (wishing) the world would come to an end so they might "witness" it. Predictions have been around forever. I remember one religious group swore it would happen in 1975! Other people speculated 12-12-12 would mark the end of the world. Even those who believe these are "the end times" continue to give birth to children. Personally speaking if I really thought the world were coming to an end I wouldn't choose have children. Truth be told this planet may be here another billion years! Would that be so bad?

There will always be fear-mongers and nay-sayers. There will always be irrational panic in some.  During the Great Depression, WWI and the Cuban missile crisis, the latest Bible facts were not revealed or understood.

Dashingscorpio gave at least part of my answer when said every generation has believed they were living in the last days.

I'm sure the time is getting close, but I won't say it's a fact these are the last days. I think one of the reasons the world seems like it's so much more messed up is because of the technology that allows us to see almost everything as soon as it happens. Twenty or thirty years ago it would be days between when something happened and when we heard about it. And it also seems the media didn't cover everything with such detail. Now a person can barely get a nasty comment out of their mouth before everyone in the country knows about it. And I can't remember who responded with it, but it's true that things such as abortion and homosexuality are no longer taboo subjects so it seems more widespread, but in actuality it was always there and we never heard about it.

Is it the end times or not? All I can do is try to live my life as if it will end tomorrow. If it does, I want my life to reflect in a way that Jesus says "Well done."
