A ct scan has shown a peice of bone in my left SI joint can it be removed by surgery?
I recently had a cortisone injection in my sacral iliac- due to ongoing...debilitating pain from a car accident a few years ago in which i had 6 complex pelvic and sacroiliac fractures.
I have for the first time in years been able to reduce my use of analgesics and my activity level has increased.
The injection was done under ct guidance and he believes he may have found a small 8mm x 10mm ununited fracture. Could this be the cause of my pain and could this piece of bone be removed by surgery? It is in the mid anterior mid sacral area of my SI joint
I would sincerely appreciate your opinion
