My grandmother is in her 70's and has had trouble with swollen legs, ankles, and feet. Today...
she told me that her leg is leaking fluid but there are no visible wounds or bruises. What could this mean or be?
I'm not sure what that could be, but please take her to a doctor! This isn't normal, unless she's just sweating profusely (?), and should be checked out by an expert immediately.
While I am not a doctor, this sounds like excessive edema to me. It sounds like the leg tissues are so saturated with fluids they can't hold any more. The fluids are now finding their own way out of the body.
Take your mother to an emergency room! This could be very serious. I wish you and your mother well.
