why would an employer prefer a new employee to be certified as a medical assistant over a...
candidate who is not certified
Certification in with any job type or specialty field is advantageous over a non-certified employee because it provides a level of security for the employer. This is not to say that there are not folks that are certified at the task but, clearly lack in the bedside manners so to say. But, I do feel these are on rare occasions that this is the problem. As a country, we have developed this theory of certification and even accreditation to become an industry standard in some types of work forces, therefore, it is imperative for employees to follow suit if they truly do wish to work in that particular industry. For your question, ask yourself if you were a patient, about to receive an IM injection and you could choose between the certified employee (MA) versus the non-certified, which one would you choose? I think your answer provides you the answer that you still have some work to do.
Having a certification is better. This will give the person an edge compared to other employees/applicants. To know more about this, visit: http://whatdoesamedicalassistantdo.com/
