How do you set up word count on Word 2007?

i am typing my hubs in Word 2007 as i do not have to worry about time outs from the internet. but I would like to write articles that fit within a certain word count.I would like to revise some of my lengthy work too. Although I have looked, i cannot figure out how to set up this tool if it exists; i know that there is one..

At the bottom of the status bar in Word 2007, you should see the number of words which will indicate how many words are currently in the document.

If you select a bunch of text and want a word count on it, then the status bar will say for example 500/1400 meaning you have selected 500 words out of  1400 words in the document.

    Hope this helps!

    Review tab
bottom right of Proofing section you'll see a Word Count icon

If I were you, though, I would customize your Quick Access Toolbar to add this icon:

Click the little down arrow to the right (at the very top)
    More Commands...
    Choose commands from:
    All Commands

Scroll near to the bottom and select Word Count...
Click the center button Add > >

I believe it is the first option under tools.
