How do you set up word count on Word 2007?
i am typing my hubs in Word 2007 as i do not have to worry about time outs from the internet. but I would like to write articles that fit within a certain word count.I would like to revise some of my lengthy work too. Although I have looked, i cannot figure out how to set up this tool if it exists; i know that there is one..
At the bottom of the status bar in Word 2007, you should see the number of words which will indicate how many words are currently in the document.
If you select a bunch of text and want a word count on it, then the status bar will say for example 500/1400 meaning you have selected 500 words out of 1400 words in the document.

bottom right of Proofing section you'll see a Word Count icon
If I were you, though, I would customize your Quick Access Toolbar to add this icon:
Click the little down arrow to the right (at the very top)
Choose commands from:
Scroll near to the bottom and select Word Count...
Click the center button Add > >

I am new here and just joined a few days back. I was wondering if there is a minimum or maximum word count limit on hub pages. I also wanted to know what these â��insert custom characterâ��, superscript and subscript links in the text capsule mean?I hope someone out there can help me....

On another thread, a Hubber suggested that if HubPages had a minimum word count, it would prevent some spammers.I know that a very low word count can get a Hub flagged as substandard, but perhaps it's set too low at the moment?

Which word count figure is most reliable for the number of words per hub?The word count figure for my hubs in the new 'Edit-Need Some Goals' feature is different (higher) than the word count figure in 'Hub Metrics'. Why is this, and which is more accurate?
