Can the side effects of a medication be worst then the condition it is treating?
I have taken medications for my diabetes that clearly labeled one of the possible side-effects as DEATH. A small number of people who take the drug suffer massive heart attacks and die, apparently. It's difficult to imagine any side-effect worse than death, offhand. Diabetes obviously can kill you eventually, but not within a few minutes of taking a pill.
I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for thirty years. I am sixty years old now, perfectly fit, nothing stands in my way. Without the drugs I would have died a slow and horrible death within six months. When you are well, indulge in stupid remedies - ground amber at the rising of the moon, homeopathic crap, herbal teas and so on. When you are ill, take drugs.

A great Hub by livelonger looking at the differences between Nasonex and Flonase got me thinking: how much do we actually know about the medicines we take? If you’re anything like me, you pick up whatever your doctors prescribe and take it- no questions asked. That’s not ideal! We should know more...
