Have you ever REALLY gotten lost outdoors?

What did you do to survive and how did you find your way back or get rescued?

I can't say that I have ever found myself somewhere so distant from what I have known to ever get lost, really lost smile Good question though!

Nope, I haven't....we have lots and lots of wilderness here, but I pay attention whenever I'm in it so I know how to get back out. That said, if I ever do get lost, I won't find my way back. If I'm lost and they start looking for me, I'm a lot easier to find if I just stay put so they know I won't be in any place they've already looked. Pretty much every type of land environment in the world has sufficient provisions to live off of for quite a long time, it's just a matter of knowing how to protect yourself from the elements and staying hydrated until help arrives.

    outdoors .. no..

but i got lost in my bedroom once.
i got out of bed in the middle of the nght to go to the loo, and i had absolutely no idea where i was, i coudln't even find the door, the side of the bed wasn't near me and i walked into my dresser, which is opposite the foot of my bed.
when i felt my way to the door, i opened it and i found my clothes, it was the walldrobe, i still coudln't find the light switch because my room as 4 walldrobe doors and i had to open all of them to find the my way the end and then reach round to get the light switch... problem was, i was so disorientated i stepped away from the walldrobe and had turned around, i cou;dnt find the walldrobe anymore and i ended up on my hands and knees crawling.. hit my head on my bed which is cast iron and realised i had crawled around my bed and ended up by the window..

    i hadn't even been drinking!

igave up, i climbed back in my bed and held on till morning.

i had been spending all my time in another town and traveling in trucks i was completely disorientated.. if i ever get lost outdoors, i'll get rescued fast because i always have my cell phone on me.

    but as for my bedroom..
i now have a bedside lamp!
