That's how today's society is really controlled:

How to operate directly on the psycho-physiological organisms of man. That is the capacity to replace external constraint by internal compulsions.

Substance abuse education is extremely important. If there had been understanding about it back in the day of my youth, the world would have many more healthy people today than it does. Education/knowledge is the key to everything. The more we know about our self and each other, the more forward thinking and acting we can be. If there is one thing the world needs more of, its forward movement. Being stuck in aspects of our own psychology, round and round, until something really unpleasant has to happen to wake us up to change. Oh world awake, your dusty selves now shake, purify and rectify, new ways of thought to make !

Yes ! However substance abuse training is very expensive for the creditials to provide care to  an individual that suffers from substance abuse.

In regards, to education believe or not substance abuse  advoidance of developing a substance
abuse  problem resides in family values. Substance Abuse abuse problems are sometime learned behavior.

For example , Heroin addiction in cases many of the clients suffering this addiction habit stated they learned from a friend or a relative. (Some Subatnce Abuse Behaviors are Learned!)

N.Y.S. OASAS is the primary location for all substance abuse services and creditialing.

Check out  ESAHS Association  informational hub page that has a YOU Tube Video that details information  about how and why Heroin Addiction is making a come back in today's
    society!
