What kinds of experiences are uniquely associated with left-handedness or being left-handed?
people are sometimes made fun of because when you write with your left hand your hand turns in. I know this from experience because I am left handed myself.
I am a left hander and have enjoyed my uniqueness. According to scientific facts we are born to become high achievers and great multi taskers.
A little high five to all left handers around the world.
Actually experiences go according to the status of the person and i have not had till now any bad experience related to being a left hand human.
I normally write with my right hand.
However, I discovered that I could also right well with my left hand.
No practice was necessary.
The only problem was I was writing backwards and to read it I will need a mirror. It is beautiful through the mirror.
Never being able to find a really good pair of scissors . Other than that -- my mom is right-handed and, being that I was homeschooled, she had to talk her left-handed best friend into working with me on writing. When I went into public school, all of the desks were made for right-handers so I didn't have anything to rest my arm on while I wrote. Other than that -- I really can't think of anything in particular. I also love being left-handed, and always tend to notice other left-handers in real life and in the media .
I am left handed and it is said that we are very quick, smart, multitasking and talented and yes I have proved it as I am working as a web designer and my company is happy with my work as client like my creative designs and my timely work, you can see some of my designs @ www.gowebbaby.com
Left handed people are really smart ,intelligent and born to win.
I have always felt that being a lefty has always been a special quality of mine. Not only do I have a strong left hand but also I have become "ambidextrous "as well. Since the majority of manually created things is for the right handed person and the majority of people in my life are right handed, that I had to learn manual activities from, I have learned to use both hands.
The concern of the question here is: what makes being left handed unique? Being able to have physical strength on the left side of the body gives me an advantage in certain activities, such as sports, manual activities in my profession (I am a nurse) and playing musical instruments( guitar and piano).
OH- FYI- My son is a left handed and both his parents are left handed. I think that is special and unique.

Why are some people left handed? You most likely have met someone who is left-handed - or you may be left-handed yourself. But what causes this difference from the norm? How common is it?
